For the last 5 years Freelance graphic designer producing work for various international brands.
I have worked in the ‘River Island’ web graphics team as a production artist creating content for web. I also created end-to-end branding for successful restaurant chains, The Belle Isle and Little Johnny Russells. Most recently, my work for the comic 'No Place Like Home' achieved international press and published by the infamous Image Comics.
I have also worked with the team at Shuffle as the Lead Creative Designer contributing as a multi-disciplined designer. Working with Shuffle, I have contributed my expertise in Graphic & Web design for ‘Allotinabox’ and film graphics for international tea brand, ‘Teapigs’. I am also working on various projects with outdoor lifestyle brand ‘Barbour’
I was recently working on some graphics for a series of short films for an international fashion brand ( specifics on that to come later ). There are a few of the graphics that won’t make it in to the films. This is the second of the bunch!
Over the last month I have been working with the guys at Shuffle on a series of videos for Barbour’s ‘4 ways in 4 days’ campaign. The idea of the campaign was to showcase Barbour’s fantastic ‘Dress Tartan’ collection.
My role in the project was to produce graphics to be used within the videos and to create artwork for Barbour to use on their Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channels.
Above is the teaser film for the campaign. I’ll upload the rest project over the next couple days, so keep em peeled!
I started this Elton John/Bennie & the jets illustration and was planning on entering it as part of the ‘Secret 7”’ contest.
Unfortunately, I was unable to finish it or get it to point where I was happy With it before the contest deadline.
I think I’m going to push on with it anyway, over the next couple weeks and it would be great to get some feedback as I continue to push on through this project.
The idea behind the piece is that ‘Bennie & the Jets’ are a fictional band described by Elton as a ‘sci-fi rock-band in the future’. The song itself is narrated by a fan of the band and is a satire of the music industry in the 1970s
Branding and Creative Content Agency, Shuffle, briefed me to sharpen and define it’s brand. Creating a new identity which moved away from its original roots, but embraced its heritage and 10th year anniversary.
As part of this rebrand, a series of contemporary logos and icons were created which were visually intriguing and would hold the viewer’s attention. Playing with a mixture of bold modern graphics and typography and original artwork inspired by British heritage, Artisan trades and Chinese lunar year symbolism.
This focus helped to create a strong ID for each division of the agency, complimentary to social video and film disciplines with specialism in food and lifestyle sectors.
The treatment is edgier, bolder, richer and discernibly new.
This is the first of the bunch and I’ll upload more over the next couple days.
